Dark and brooding in colour this Merlot has dark chocolate, leather and vanilla aromas with underlying notes of plums and leather. Warm and comforting flavors of chocolate cake and vanilla wafers are balanced with the juicy ripe tannins from the grapes and subtle oak aging.
2015 Great Northwest Wine Competition – Bronze
The grapes for this wine were harvested in 2013 from Ron Fournier’s Vineyars in Oliver. The fruit was hand picked and processed at our Naramata winery, after de-stemming, the fruit the grapes were sent directly to tanks for a 5 day cold soak to help extract colour from the grapes skins.
