Castroviejo Rioja Tempranillo
Bright and intense cherry red with violet trim. Intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits along with notes of licorice, typical of the best tempranillo grape, on a pleasant background to clean oak, vanilla and roasted remembrance of its brief passage through the barrel. In the mouth it is tasty and fresh, balanced and round with good acidity and a fruity finish and avainillado with correct persistence.
Elaborated by the traditional method of destemmed grape with cold maceration for 24 hours and subsequent fermentation at controlled temperature and later stay in barrel for 6 months.
Tempranillo grapes harvested at the optimum time of ripening, at which time this grape shows its best qualities, qualities that have made this grape the queen of the Riojan vineyard.
