Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Célestiale is Clos du Soleil’s Bordeaux-style blend that is soft and full of fruit – an easy-drinking delight. This is immediately noticeable as the perfumed aromas from this wine bring to mind a summer evening of cherry pies, fresh plums and berry tarts. On the palate the wine is remarkably smooth and round, with flavours of black cherries, soft ripe Damson plums, and just a hint of spice.
Vineyard Notes
Clos du Soleil is a small artisan winery and estate vineyard on the South Similkameen Valley Upper Bench, in British Columbia. We produce ultra-premium quality wines in a Bordeaux style Old World elegance … New World edge! Our name refers to the mountain that towers above the back of our property forming a natural enclosure to the North, trapping the sun's heat and reflected rays, necessary for great grape production.
Winemaker Notes
41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, this is a wine built for enjoyment!

90 points – John Schreiner, April 2013 91 points - www.winescores.ca, July 2013 Silver – Wine Align National Wine Awards of Canada 2013 Bronze – Intervin International Wine Awards 2013 This juicy, approachable wine is a blend of all five red Bordeaux varietals. The 18 months spent in French oak barriques gives it structure and a glimmer of spice. It opens up to bright notes of strawberry and sweet red cherries, with rich hints of espresso and chocolate. In the mouth it's plummy, full and round; nicely framed by well integrated, grainy tannins and weight. There is a long finish, and although very good today, it will reward patience in the cellar.
