Gehringer Brothers, recognized for superior quality wines, is one of the earliest family-run estates in the Okanagan! It all goes back to 1973 after a seven year micro-climate evaluation, the present vineyard was purchased in 1981. The first vintage was produced in 1985, alongside the finishing touches on the winery.
Today the brothers, Walter and Gordon are included in a very select group of qualified winemakers that are BC-born yet have learned their craft in Europe. The Gehringer style has evolved to be known as a symbiosis of terroir, ripe sweet fruit and firm acidity. This dedication to capture the essence of the grape has crafted a tradition, consistently attaining the BC VQA status and winning numerous awards. They’re not called the King of the platinum for nothing, they’ve won 64 platinum awards to date!
